A view of the old Oak Bay Theatre building in the Victoria suburb of Oak Bay, British Columbia.
A great example of the English-style architecture prevalent in the Oak Bay area, this building had been a movie house for many years before closing in the late-1980s. After the theatre building was renovated, the neon "The Oak Bay" sign from its cinema days was kept as a souvenir of those bygone days. When I shot this photo back in 2008, the theatre building housed a location of Starbucks (which I visited a couple of times) and an art gallery next to it.
